Core Team

Mohan Das Manandhar is Executive Director and a Board Member of Niti Foundation. He is an expert in inclusive development, development management, and social inclusion. He has more than 25 years of hands-on management experience in development organizations, academic institutions, and private sector enterprises in Nepal, South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan), South East Asia (Laos, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Myanmar), and Africa (Liberia).  Mr. Manandhar is also Senior Academic Adviser at Nepal Administrative Staff College developing a master’s course on public policy and governance. He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA and an adviser of Displacement Research and Action Network/MIT and is involved in study of resettlement post-earthquake in Nepal.

Bishal Chalise is the Program and Research Officer at Niti Foundation. He has more than 7 years of experience working in government, private and development sector. Prior to joining Niti, he worked as Research Consultant for Ministry of Finance Government of Nepal and Nepal SBI Bank Limited as Business Development Officer. His research interest includes Governance and Institutions, Economic Growth and Foreign Direct Investment. He is also a visiting faculty at Kathmandu University School of Management. Bishal holds Masters’ degree in International and Development Economics from Australian National University and Masters in Business Administration from Kathmandu University. 


Prabhas Man Singh is a Program and Research Officer at Niti Foundation. He supports and coordinates the organization’s program in policy process reform, political economy analysis and policy research in Nepal's transition to federalism. He has over 5 years of research experience in the Nepali political process, local governance and economic development. Prabhas holds a master’s degree in Political Economy from University of Sydney.


Sanat Shrestha is the Senior Administration/Finance Officer at Niti Foundation. Prior to joining Niti, he worked in the credit & marketing department and accounts & administration departments of the Bank of Kathmandu where he analyzed client stocks and kept up-to-date data on insurance policies, property security documents, fixed deposit receipts, and government bonds of credit customers. He has also worked at Magnamax Pvt. Ltd where he supervised the administration department for the smooth operation of the organization. Sanat holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Tribhuvan University.


 Renuka Duwadi is the Administration/Finance Officer at Niti Foundation. Prior to joining Niti, she worked in Green Foundation Nepal as administration and finance officer where she handled the overall administration related work and handled finances, accounts, contracts, tax, audit of company. Renuka holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Tribhuvan University. Currently she is pursuing her Master degree in Business Studies from Tribhuwan University.
