Dr. Narayan Prasad Baskota

Dr. Narayan Prasad Baskota leads Niti Foundation’s thematic work on public finance management. With over a decade of experience, he is a public finance expert who has advised local governments on financial systems, planning, budgeting, and governance both before and after federalism. Dr. Baskota has contributed to various programs to support Nepal’s federal and provincial governments, supported by UNDP, GIZ, DFID, EU, World Bank, UNCDF, ADB, USAID, and BEK. He previously served as a Board Director for Rastriya Banijya Bank and Professionals Development Bank. Dr. Baskota holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics and a Master of Philosophy in Finance from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
