Bam Bahadur Bhandari is a security and law enforcement expert who supports Niti Foundation’s work on security sector reform. Before joining Niti Foundation, Mr. Bhandari had a distinguished career with Nepal Police, retiring as Additional Inspector General in 2018. He held key roles in the Anti-Terrorist Unit and the Narcotics Drug Investigation Unit. Additionally, he served in UN missions in Haiti and Yugoslavia, contributing to international security efforts. His contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Suprabal Janasewa Shree and the UN Service Medal. Mr. Bhandari holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science.
